Use:
This medication blocks the activity of a chemical in your brain that regulates nausea, vomiting and balance. Nausea and vomiting caused by motion sickness, Vertigo caused by an inner ear disorder.
Indication:
Take it with or without food but at the same time each day for maximum benefit. Take it one hour before your flight if you are travelling. Take it as advised by your doctor. The dose and frequency of taking it depends on the purpose for which you are taking it. Your doctor will determine how much to take to help with your symptoms. You should take it for as long as your doctor prescribes it for you. If you have missed a dose, it is best to take the next one as soon as you recall it. Never take a double dose of this medicine.
Side Effects:
The most common side effect is drowsiness. If they bother you or seem serious, talk to your doctor. There are ways to reduce or prevent drowsiness. Driving and attention-getting activities should be avoided. Some people experience dryness of the mouth, so drink more water, carry sugar candy, or practice good oral hygiene.
Safety Advice:
It is important to inform your doctor before taking this medicine if you have any of the following conditions: Glaucoma, Gastrointestinal problems, High blood pressure, Pregnancy or breastfeeding. Your doctor should also be aware of all other medications you are taking, as many of them may reduce the effectiveness of this medicine or alter its mechanism of action.
In general, it is recommended that you do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine.
