Use:
is an antibiotic medicine used to treat infections caused by bacteria. It is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections in children, including ear infections, eye infections, nose and throat infections, lung infections, skin infections, gastrointestinal infections, and urinary infections. It can also be used to treat children and adolescents with typhoid fever.
Indication:
Give it to your child 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating. If your child has a stomach upset, it is best to give it with food. Stick to the prescribed dose as it depends on the type of infection and its severity, as well as your child’s age and body weight. If your child vomits and vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, take the same dose but don’t take two doses if it’s time for the next one.
Don’t give it to your child if they have cold and flu symptoms. This medicine is an antibiotic, and doesn’t work on viruses. Doctors only prescribe it for cough and cold symptoms when they find evidence of a secondary bacterial infection.
Side Effects:
Minor and temporary side effects include: Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Nausea, Headache.
Most of these side effects will go away once your child’s body adjusts to the medicine, but if they persist or become unbearable for your child, contact your doctor as soon as possible.
