Use:
Patients with high blood pressure (BP) use this Tablet to control their blood pressure. It works by combining two medicines to control high blood pressure when one medication does not work. By controlling high blood pressure, patients are less likely to have a future heart attack or stroke.
Indication:
This Tablet can be taken at any time of the day with or without food. However, it is recommended that it be taken at the same time every day. Keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. Even if you are feeling fine, do not stop taking this medicine because high blood pressure usually does not have any symptoms. Stopping this medicine may worsen your condition. You can also keep your blood pressure under control by exercising regularly, losing weight and following a healthy diet. Follow your doctor’s instructions while taking this medicine.
Side Effects:
It may cause swelling of the ankle, headache, coughing, weakness and fatigue.
It may cause dizziness. Therefore, you should avoid driving or doing anything that requires concentration until you understand how it affects you.
It may increase the amount of potassium in your blood. Hence, you should avoid eating potassium-rich foods or taking potassium supplements.
You may be required to have regular monitoring of your blood pressure, renal function and electrolytes levels while on treatment.
Saftey Advice:
Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease. Ask your doctor for advice if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor about other medications you are taking, particularly medications used to treat hypertension or heart disease.
