Use:
This medication is a combination of two medicines that help manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart rate (heart rate). It is also used to treat heart related chest pain, abnormal heart rhythm and long-term heart failure.
Indication:
This medication can be taken at any time of the day with or without food. However, it is most effective when taken at the same time every day. Keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. Even if you are feeling fine, do not stop taking this medicine because high blood pressure usually does not have any symptoms. Stopping this medicine may make your condition worse. You can also keep your blood pressure in check by exercising regularly, losing weight, and following a healthy diet. Follow your doctor’s instructions while taking this medication.
Side Effects:
It may cause: Headache, Swelling in the ankle, Skin rash, Slow heart rate, Nausea, Depression, Dizziness.
Avoid driving or doing anything that requires concentration until you understand how it affects you.
Potassium levels may increase in your blood, so avoid eating or taking potassium-rich foods or supplements.
You may be required to have regular monitoring of your blood pressure, kidneys and electrolytes levels while on treatment.
