Use:
This medicine is a mixture of two active ingredients. It works to regulate blood pressure in various ways. High blood pressure can cause heart attacks, stroke and kidney failure if not treated.
Indication:
It can be taken with food or without. The dose will vary depending on your health and how you react to the medicine. It should be taken at the same time every day. You should continue taking it until your doctor says otherwise. It contains a water pill and makes you urinate more, so it’s best to avoid taking it within 4 hours after going to bed. You should take it regularly to get the maximum benefit from it, even if you feel fine. High blood pressure usually has no symptoms, but if you stop taking it, your risk of having a heart attack or stroke could increase.
Side Effects:
Dizziness is the most common adverse reaction. Other adverse reactions include tiredness, nausea, diarrhoea, headache, and low blood pressure. Chlorthalidone does not cause frequent urination. It is used for the purpose of controlling blood pressure. Other side effects may occur, but are rare. Please read the package leaflet and inform your doctor if you experience side effects or they persist. Your doctor may adjust your dose or use a different medicine.
Safety Advice:
The use of this medicine is not advised during pregnancy and should be discussed with your doctor if you have a kidney or liver problem, heart disease or diabetes. Alcohol consumption can also lower blood pressure and can lead to adverse reactions.
