Use:
It is a prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It is used to control high blood pressure when the use of a single medication does not work. It lowers high blood pressure, which reduces the risk of future heart attacks and strokes.
Indication:
It can be taken at any time of the day with or without food. However, it is recommended that it be taken at the same time every day. Keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. Even if you are feeling fine, do not stop taking this medicine because high blood pressure usually does not have any symptoms. Stopping this medicine may worsen your condition. You can also keep your blood pressure under control by exercising regularly, losing weight and following a healthy diet. Follow your doctor’s instructions while taking this medication.
Side Effects:
it may cause headaches, flushing (feeling warm in the cheeks, ears, neck, and trunk), swelling of the ankle, slow heart rate and nausea.
It may cause dizziness so avoid driving or doing anything that requires mental concentration until you know how it affects you.
Raise your legs while sitting to reduce swelling.
You may be required to have regular monitoring of your blood pressure, renal function, blood sugar, and electrolytes levels while on treatment.
Safety Advice:
Before using it, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult their doctor before taking this medicinal product. You should also inform your doctor about other medications you are taking, particularly those used to treat hypertension or heart disease.
