Use:
This medication contain two active antibiotics that can be used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections such as infections of ears, nose and sinuses, tonsils and throat, lung infections, heart infections, skin infections and bone infections. It can also be used to treat infections caused by drug-resistant bacteria.
Indication:
This medication works best on empty stomachs. Try to give it 30 minutes to an hour before your child’s meal. However, if it disturbs your child’s stomach, try to give it with food. It is usually given three times daily. The dose, time and method of administration are determined by your doctor and depend on the nature of your child’s infection, the type of infection, your child’s body weight, and age. If your child throws up within 30 minutes after taking it, try to give the same dose again when your child is feeling better. Do not give the same dose twice if it is time for your child’s next dose.
Side Effects:
Some of the side effects include: Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Abdominal pain, Mild skin rash.
These side effects are usually mild and temporary. Most of them resolve on their own. However, if any of these symptoms persist or become more severe for your child, please inform your doctor as soon as possible.
Safety Advice:
If your child has a history of any of the following: allergy, heart problem, blood disorder, birth defect, airway obstruction, lung anomaly, gastric problem, skin disorder, kidney malfunction.
Knowing your child’s medical history will allow your doctor to adjust your child’s dose and plan their treatment.
